MAP15: Archipelago is the fifteenth map of Plutonia 1024: The Plutinya Experiment. It was designed by Jon Vail (40oz) and uses the music track "Intermission from DOOM", originally created by Robert Prince for Doom. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 3:30.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Collect the shotgun in front of you and use it to kill two shotgun guys waiting around the corner, then head up the west staircase to find more shotgun guys next to a door. Ignore the door for now and head north into a stone room with a couple of caged chaingunners, then turn right and go down some steps to find eight imps protecting a lift with another chaingunner on it. Activate the lift and ride it up to a switch that will reveal a Hell knight when flipped; you may want to drop back down to the floor below as a platform behind you will also open, revealing two revenants guarding a supercharge. Step past the switch and turn left to kill a chaingunner, then turn left again to find a demon guarding a satyr switch that will lower a nearby wall. Step through this wall and slay three approaching knights, then open the west door to find an arch-vile protecting an overhead gargoyle switch - the switch will lower a pillar in the courtyard below holding the yellow skull key.

Go back round to the west side of the map and open the door you passed earlier (it will close behind you) to find a rocket launcher, which you can use to kill the revenants, imps and mancubus protecting the yellow key. Take the key and press the skull switch by the west wall to re-open the door, then head back to the east side of the map and look for a lion switch in the south-west corner; pressing it will reveal a revenant at point-blank range and open the barrier to your left with a second revenant behind it. Step through the barrier to a sludge pool and press the gargoyle switch to lower the pool, then kill an arch-vile waiting at the bottom before entering the teleporter behind it to reach a T-junction. From here you can go left to reach MAP16: Fellspring, or right to go to MAP31: Cybercage.
