MAP15: Doors of Opportunities is the fifteenth map of Down the Drain. It was designed by Benjogami and uses the music track "Something in the Way" by Nirvana.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Get to the middle of the main hall and head back to a gray column with a switch on its east side. Press it, which lowers the east wall with boxes of rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 147)
  2. North of the entrance to secret #2 is a crusher. Go under it to open the east door and use the northeast wall to find a berserk pack in a corridor. (sector 145)
  3. Go through secret #3 to lower the next wall to the north which has a box of shotgun shells. (sector 146)
  4. At the north end of the hall, go through the hall until you open the second door on the right. While this door is open, use the switch south of that door and quickly enter the hall. Go down the steps to get the invulnerability. (sector 113)
  5. Get secret #4, then as quickly as you can, press the series of switches on the left and right sides of the room while invulnerable until you press the last switch on the east side. Quickly run north and west, then north to the teleporter. You will telefrag several barrels, but if you are still invulnerable, it will be fine. Press the switch, then leave the room the way you came and return to the hall. Head back to the south end and open the second door on the left side via the nearby switch. Enter the long hall and go all the way to the BFG9000, then all the way north to get a secret exit. (sector 165)

Bugs[edit]

The button that opens the secret exit (linedef 607) has invisible trigger lines in front of it that block the player's use attempts on the button unless the player approaches the button directly after teleporting without turning or gets closer than would appear necessary. This can make the button appear unresponsive.
