Secrets[edit]
- In the southwestern outdoors area, past the section with the teleporting zombies, instead of going down where the switch is, walk to the ledge on the left to make a backpack appear. (thing 358)
- Enter the blue door, activate the lift and ride it up and then walk through the next door. Pick the small door to the left, then press the yellow torch in this room. After that, make your way back out the small door and enter the door that has opened next to the red door at the end of the corridor. Here you can find a soulsphere and a computer area map. (sector 928)
- Once you get into the courtyard that has a pillar with the megaarmor, you can grab it by pressing the northern side of the leftmost pillar at the top, which reveals a switch to lower the pillar. (thing 384)
- The pillar with the invulnerability sphere, on the other hand, can be obtained by pressing on the waterfall in front of it, which causes it to lower. Ride it to the top, then turn back from the invulnerability sphere and shoot at a demonic face to your left, then immediately turn around to your right to shoot at a small switch that has revealed itself above a bookcase, which will cause the pillar to lower. (thing 586)
- In the southernmost room of the map, there is a puzzle involving timed switches that you can solve. Upon doing so, a door will have opened just out of the room and to the east, leading to a tower with a switch that can lower a megasphere in the courtyard shown outside the window. (thing 228)
- To unlock the bars leading to the BFG9000, go to the start of the map and enter the yellow door, after which you can press the second bookcase in this room to reveal a hidden path. Climb up the steps and press a switch to lower the bars, then go to where the BFG9000 is, but it will disappear after pressing the switch to lower its pedestal. To obtain it, backtrack to the switch that lowered the bars initially, and it will be there. (thing 971)
