MAP16: End of the Line is the sixteenth map of Claustrophobia 1024 2. It was designed by Justin Murphy (KingKill33) and Joonas Äijälä (Jodwin), and uses a MIDI rendition of "The Reflecting God" by Marilyn Manson as its music track.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Take the shotgun and use it to kill the zombies ahead, then go forward to a door and open it to face some zombiemen. Do not walk through the door yet, but instead climb the steps to your left to get an armor then press the button here to open a second door to the north, which has imps waiting behind it, for nine seconds. Go through that door to enter an oval room, press the small button on the west wall to open a third door, kill an approaching spectre then go to the end of the hallway and turn right to find a couple of shotgun guys on a lift. Press the button to activate the lift and kill a demon waiting below, as well as the monsters (including a Hell knight on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher) that are waiting behind a door that opens to your left, then head up the steps to a passage with red squares on the floor. Kill the shotgun guys here then open the door in the south wall to find more shotgun guys and imps guarding two switches - the west switch requires the red key to activate, so press the south button then ride the lift back up and pass through the door that has opened to the south to find a super shotgun and another button. Pressing this button will lower the surrounding walls to reveal the yellow keycard, but you will have to fight off a crowd of imps and zombies that teleport in, as well as knights and a revenant at higher skill levels.

Once the area is clear, press the button in the north-west corner to open the bars blocking your way back to the lift, then go back there and open the yellow key door to enter a cavern. Turn left and kill some waiting imps and spectres, along with one or two revenants that are released from a small closet, then walk south to a door and open it to find a lift. Ride the lift up and kill one or two waiting chaingunners, then open another door to the south to find zombiemen/shotgun guys guarding an armor (or megaarmor on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM)). Walk west to open a closet to your left containing an imp/chaingunner, kill it along with any spectres blocking your path then head north until you can run across a gap to reach the red keycard. Watch out for the knight (or baron of Hell on UV and NM) that rises from the floor to defend it.

Go back to the room with the two switches and press the west switch this time, then leave the room and walk east to find a megaarmor; the wall ahead will open to reveal a spectre. Now go south to return to the oval room, pull the thin switch on the central column to open the large door then go through it and walk west to get outside - a door has opened to the south, letting you go through it to enter a cage containing the blue keycard. Taking the key closes the door behind you and allows a group of monsters to teleport to the neighboring room; fight them off, then look north-east through the fence to see a flashing button on the wall that you can shoot to open the door again. Open the door to the oval room and go inside it, press the button on the east wall then head back to the room in the south-west corner of the map, where the blue bars have opened to reveal a switch. Flip the switch then go back to the starting point and head west past some imps and shotgun guys (plus chaingunners and knights on HMP or higher) to reach the exit teleporter.

  1. After reaching the room with the armor/megaarmor in the south-west corner of the map, walk west to open a window revealing a closet with an imp (or chaingunner on HMP or higher) inside. If you stand on the elevated part of the floor, you can step through the window to get a berserk pack. (sector 447)
