MAP16: Guardstation is the sixteenth level of Eternal Doom. It was designed by Adam Landefeld and uses the music track "Impending Death".

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

This level contains many mandatory switches that are not that easy to find.

The first is near the blue key door. There are two doors to the right and left in that room, each contains a prison cell. One of the cells contains a crack in the wall with a switch behind it. This switch registers as a secret but must be flipped.

The next possible chokepoint is when you get outside on what should be (so far) the northernmost area of the map that's been revealed. Look outside for a wall texture that does not match the rest, and press it to reveal a teleporter to a switch and the blue key.

Eventually you will cross a teleporter behind the starting position that leads to a mostly symmetrical area. There are 3 switches in this outdoor area. One opens a passage to an area south of the this outdoor area, while the other two allow you to actually access the areas on the east and west sides where chaingunners are placed. You must find all three switches to finish the level successfully.

Finally, you will come to a dark room with crates. After clearing the room, find the switch, then look for another smaller switch that has been revealed. This opens up a switch on the previously-mentioned chaingunner side that does not contain a teleporter, which is the last switch you must press before going to the other side with the teleporter and then looking behind you (after teleporting) to see the exit.

Secrets[edit]

  1. As stated in the walkthrough, shoot the cracked wall near the blue key door for a switch and some shotgun shells. (sector 172)
  2. The wall north of the last switch required to leave the level can be opened. Do so, and fall down the waterfall. An arrow points in your direction, turn around and collect the soul sphere here. (sector 539)
