MAP16: MAP26 - The Docks is the sixteenth map of Switcheroom 2. It was designed by Micah Petersen (Jaws in Space) and uses the music track "Ascension" by Chris Leeson (Psyrus). It is based on the layout of MAP26: The Abandoned Mines.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Step on the lift in front of you to go down to a bridge with a berserk pack, then activate the lift on the other side (guarded by a revenant on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher) to go up to a crossroads. Grab the chaingun and kill the zombiemen, demons and spectres ahead, then take the northern path and follow it to a mancubus guarding a switch. Flip the switch to open the nearby ledge with imps, then follow this ledge round to the red keycard. Taking the key opens four closets behind you containing various monsters.

Go back to the crossroads and take the west path this time, then open the red door on the other side to see a narrow walkway over a lava pit; do not fall in the lava as it is inescapable. Carefully cross the walkway, collecting the rocket launcher in the middle and killing a Hell knight that appears, then collect the blue keycard on the other side to release some cacodemons into the room.

Go back to the crossroads and take the east path, where demons have teleported in, then continue on to a curved bridge defended by mancubi (or a cyberdemon on HMP or higher). Open the blue door at the south end to reach another lava pit (also inescapable), which is guarded by zombies and a mancubus, then carefully follow the ledge round to the south end and cross the bridge here to reach the yellow keycard in the center. Go back to the crossroads and cross the northern bridge again, then open the yellow bars on the other side to reach the exit switches.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Open the wall behind the start to get to shotgun shells, an energy cell pack (an energy cell on HMP), and a plasma gun on a walkway. The water around the walkway has two energy cells and two stimpacks (plus a medikit and a box of shotgun shells on Ultra-Violence or higher). (sector 63)
  2. Go back to the starting room and lower the east window. Run and jump east to get armor bonuses and an armor. (sector 11)
  3. Open the east wall in secret #2 and take the lift up to get armor bonuses and a medikit. (sector 88)
  4. Open the north wall in secret #3 to get health bonuses. (sector 90)
  5. Open the north wall in secret #4 and enter the teleporter to the north to teleport to energy cells, a megaarmor and boxes of bullets (only on Hey Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 119)
