MAP16: The Alien Shrine is the sixteenth map of Perdition's Gate.

Walkthrough[edit]

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

At the start, go around the structure in front to find the exit to this room in the opposite corner. Turn left, then go up the stairs to the left and follow the path again to your left to reach a grassy area. Turn right at the bottom of the stairs then climb both steps of stairs to the right to collect the red key and flip the switch in front. Return to the hallway after the starting area, face right at the bottom of the stairs and go through the opening on the left.

Climb up the stairs ahead and jump to the platform to the west. Follow the path until you see a red door in front. Open it, press the switch ahead then exit this room and go to the right. Approach the closest structure in front then jump to it. Continue jumping from structure to structure then follow the path to a switch. Use it then drop down to the right and enter the opening on the right to arrive at the hallway after the starting room. Go to the right then take either opening to the sides to arrive at an outside area. Go up the stairs to the south, then cross the bridge leading to the north and enter the exit teleporter to end the level.

Secrets[edit]

  1. After climbing the stairs to the left on the hallway after the start, continue straight ahead to spot a detached wall to the right. Open it, then go down the stairs to find a megasphere. Open the grey wall to the left at the bottom of the stairs, then go through it to arrive back at the hallway and get credit for the secret. (sector 167)
  2. In the area where you jump from structure to structure, go down the stairs on the west side then continue forward, hugging the wall to the right to reach a supercharge. Grabbing this item opens a wall on the opposite corner of the water area, so make your way to it to find a teleporter. Take it to reach the secret, containing a backpack, another supercharge, a BFG9000 and a megaarmor. Take the teleporter here to be teleported to the starting area. (sector 199)
