MAP16: Vidhead is the sixteenth map of Down the Drain. It was designed by Benjogami and uses the music track "Heresy" by Nine Inch Nails.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Open the first door you see at the start and take the northwest corridor. Head west, north, and when you go west again, the slimefall will lower, revealing a BFG9000. (sector 118)
  2. Keep going past secret #1 west, south, jumping a gap, east, then to the soul sphere. Open the west wall to get a megaarmor, which is two secrets. (sector 109)
  3. See secret #3. (sector 106)
  4. In the north hall, enter the first corridor going east and after the stimpacks, the east wall will open revealing a soul sphere. (sector 96)
  5. Enter the second corridor and after the stimpacks, the east wall will open revealing a super shotgun. (sector 98)
  6. Head out from secret #5 and go north on the east platforms. Another corridor will open to the east which has another soul sphere. (sector 138)

Bugs[edit]

Lowering the blue floor near the start (sector 0), and while it is down, lowering a section of the slit wall to the east (such as sector 134), will reveal a hall of mirrors. One way this can be done in singleplayer is by opening the south-west door in this area (sector 42), then running across the south nukage pit and activating one of its sides (e.g. linedef 46) while rushing through the door, behind which is a trigger (linedef 486) you then activate to lower a section of the slit wall. This can happen more organically in multiplayer co-op.

Performing a grab on the blue key is significantly easier and more obvious than the seemingly intended way of opening a disguised wall and walking around a bend to the key.
