MAP17: Another Doomed City District is the seventeenth map of Thirty Years with Doom. It was designed by RastaManGames and uses the music track "Hollow Earth" by Yen Pox.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the north building, head to the west room with three terminals and use the northernmost one. Head all the way to the blue skull key room and use the vent to find a passage to shotgun shells, a megaarmor, a super shotgun, a soul sphere, and an ammo clip. (sector 776)
  2. In a room at the northeast end of the north building, press all the switches there. Enter the west room and enter the room north of it. Take the teleporter to get the BFG9000 and partial invisibility. (sector 4146)
  3. In the northwest building, take the southwest lift up and use the computer. Go back and take the southeast lift up. In this room, the closet is open with ammo and a backpack. (sector 4044)
  4. Enter the bathroom where the red skull key is and use the switch on the toilet. Leave and fall into the north hole to find a health bonus and a megaarmor. (sector 1735)
  5. In the theater, go to the back seats and use the switch there to open the screen, which has rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 3166)
  6. In the red keycard room, shoot the picture to the west and press the north switch to reveal energy cells and a plasma gun to the south. (sector 2867)
  7. In the nightclub, go onto the central pole and get the soul sphere through the translucent wall. (sector 2749)

Inspiration and development[edit]

One each of the following things have no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so they do not actually appear in the level: berserk (thing 1249), chainsaw (410), plasma gun (905), blue keycard (980), blue skull key (904), red keycard (1389), red skull key (336), yellow keycard (897), yellow skull key (1074); and two super shotguns (498, 1892). These items were used by the level designer during development to make it easier for him to remember what certain monster closets were associated with.
