MAP17: MAP03 - Nukage District is the seventeenth map of Switcheroom 2. It was designed by Micah Petersen (Jaws in Space) and uses the music track "Brad News" by Dial-Up. It is based on the layout of MAP03: The Gantlet.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Take the berserk pack on the lift in front of you to go down to a yard with various monsters, then open the door in the south-east corner and press the button behind it to open the way forward. Go up the stairs in the yard and head west at the top to reach another lift, then ride it up to a large nukage pool defended by demons. Run up the stairs in the middle of the pool, crossing a gap where a couple of chaingunners are waiting, then take the chaingun ahead and use the lift behind it to enter a tower where Hell knights (and revenants on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher) are guarding another berserk pack. Run through the western window to land on a balcony, then go south down some stairs to a teleporter that goes to the south-east area of the map.

Take the plasma gun then go straight forward to some windows, then step back and kill the demons that approach from either side as well as the zombies on the east side of the pit. There are some platforms in the pit that you need to step across to reach the blue keycard and the exit door; on I'm Too Young To Die and Hey Not Too Rough the key is placed on the easternmost platform, but on HMP or higher It is placed inside the nearby tower that opens when you start crossing the platforms. With the key, step across to the exit door on the east side of the pit and unlock it to find the exit switch (defended by a mancubus on HMP or higher).

Other points of interest[edit]

Go up the stairs near the starting point then go west and south to find a megaarmor.

Run west through the window opposite the exit door to reach a ledge with a computer area map.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Use the lightning symbol in the starting room to open a compartment with a shotgun and partial invisibility. (sector 49)
  2. Head down from the starting room and open the east door. Use the south wall to find a lift going up to a chaingun and a supercharge. (sector 12)
