MAP17: Second Horseman is the seventeenth map of Scientist 2. It was designed by Roland van der Velden and uses a MIDI rendition of the Dream Theater song "Innocence Faded" as its music track.

Secrets[edit]
- From the starting area, enter the nearby building and take either set of steps up to the middle platform. Press the western wall with a pool of brains in front of it to find a teleporter, which will take you back outside onto a rock with a megaarmor. (sector 131)
- In the central outdoor area, where the exit is, head to the southern part of it and go up the steps. Open the door in front of you and you will notice that a part of the eastern fence is broken. Drop onto the ledge under the broken part, then go towards the pentagram on the wall. You can go through it to get a berserk pack. (sector 286) You can also get to this secret by using a southern catwalk in the same area as the secret is, near the eastern stairs.
Bugs[edit]
An armor bonus (thing 156) sits on a high south-west ledge in the exit courtyard area, making it normally impossible to obtain a 100% items collection score. It is however possible to obtain it by leading the arch-vile from the rocket room (thing 116) into this courtyard area, and using it to arch-vile jump up to the item's ledge.
