MAP17: The Duplex is the second bonus map of Beyond Reality. It was designed by Darsycho and uses the music track "Science Station" by Andrew Sega (Necros), from Crusader: No Remorse.

Walkthrough

Map of The Duplex

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. In the southwest waterway, jump into the northwest cave to find a backpack. (sector 102)
2. After raising platforms at the southwest waterway, climb them and head southeast to a low-gravity area. Jump up to the south wall and crouch as you do to find a hidden passage with a switch. This will briefly lower the soul sphere on top of the waterfall, which can make getting Secret #1 easier. (sector 116)
3. Lower the picture behind the rocket launcher to find a plasma gun and a green armor. (sector 733)
4. In the low-gravity area at the northwest, jump up to the translucent terminals all the way until you get to one with a megasphere. (sector 802)
5. In the northeast room, head to the southwest wall and lower it to get rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 1050)
