MAP17: Through Time and Space (or "Through Time & Space" on the automap) is the seventeenth map of DIY. It was designed by Vortale and uses the music track "Stage 3" from Journey to Silius.

Secrets[edit]
- Head behind the first portal to get a berserk pack. You can also get this secret after going through the portal in the modern city section. (sector 0)
- In the area past the first portal, head to the cave to the east, then north and head west into a secret passage. This leads up to a medikit, a box of rockets, a rocket launcher, and the red keycard. (sector 1568)
- After getting the red skull key, head to the ledge to the north and head west. At the end, get on the brown wall to the west and hug it as you head west. Drop down and head north to get a box of ammo, a box of shotgun shells, and a soul sphere. (sector 1842)
- Head northwest from the western town and to the tracks. Head west until the break in the tracks, then head south to get boxes of rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 4487)
- After the square arena section, use the dash panel to head to the portal and after going through, head behind the portal to find a computer area map. (sector 2059)
- In the east side of the forest section is an opening requiring three key cards. The red key card is found in secret #2 by going around the tiny ledge across the lava waterfall when you first enter. The yellow key is found to the north of the three-key card secret, in the second big tree, from the northeast. The blue key is found in the third zone when you enter the left mine and stop on the green pickaxe on the floor. Nearby will be two holes in the wall. Look into the left hole and shoot the secret button inside then head back outside to find the key at the southwestern corner of the zone. Once you've acquired all three keys, head back to the three-key cave in the forest zone then east all the way to find a secret portal to a racing section where you can get a BFG9000. (sector 4314)
