MAP17: Trench Fortress is the seventeenth map of Community Chest 64. It was designed by thexgiddoomerx. This level is set in an arena that continually expands to reveal more waves of monsters.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
You start in a square room containing a great number of weapons and armors, as well as a large amount of health and ammunition. Pick up as many items as you can and then press the switch to start the fight. The walls of the room will lower, revealing a horde of monsters, including spectres, cacodemons, Hell knights, and mancubi. A good strategy is to start out the fight by using the BFG9000 to clear out one side of the arena, which helps to avoid being surrounded.
Once most monsters have been killed, the outer walls will lower again, this time revealing a massive courtyard filled with more monsters. Take note of the arachnotrons and mancubi on the rocky cliffs on the edge of the courtyard, as well as the cyberdemon and arachnotrons within the courtyard itself. You can find large amounts of rockets, energy cells, and powerups surrounding the corners of the central structure, including a megasphere. In order to progress, only the cyberdemon must be killed. When it is dead, a switch will appear in the center of the arena, within the area you started the level. Press the switch to exit the level.
