MAP18: Graytech Industries is the eighteenth map of Claustrophobia 1024 2. It was designed by Chris Harriman (Impboy) and Joonas Äijälä (Jodwin), and uses a MIDI rendition of "Helicopter" from Laser Invasion, sequenced by Octal Livershite, as its music track.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Take the armor and shotgun then open the door to face some zombies and one or two imps. Go round the corner to a larger room with a red pillar, which has the red keycard on top of it, and kill any waiting zombies, along with the Hell knights (and baron of Hell on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM) skill levels) visible through the south window, then flip the switch next to the room entrance - this will open a door at the starting point and reveal another switch, and a Hell knight (or arch-vile on UV and NM) will teleport in to defend it. Flip this switch to lower the pillar holding the red key, go back and collect it then open the east door to find a plasma gun in front of another switch.

Flipping this switch opens the bars blocking the teleporter at the north end of the room, but also releases a pack of zombies, demons and imps (plus knights and revenants on Hurt Me Plenty or higher) into the room. Before entering the teleporter, walk through the now-open door to the east of it to find another switch, flip it to open some bars blocking the exit door then step back to avoid two imps (or revenants on UV and NM) that ambush you from either side. Now enter the teleporter to go to the hallway at the south end of the map, open the exit door directly ahead and fight through some zombies to reach a lift. Ride the lift up to see some imps guarding the exit switch, but approach it with caution as a revenant (or arch-vile on UV and NM) will rise from the floor to defend it, and imps (along with a revenant and chaingunner at higher skill levels) will appear in the cages behind you.

  1. In the large room with the red key, open the brown wall in the north-west corner to enter a hidden room. Kill the knight (or arch-vile on UV and NM) that rises from the floor to claim a super shotgun, four piles of shotgun shells, five health bonuses and a medikit. (sector 84)
