MAP18: Sunset Villa is the eighteenth map of Anomaly Report. It was designed by Michael Jan Krizik (valkiriforce) and uses the music track "Junkie Smack," originally composed by Mark Klem for Memento Mori II. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 4:15.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Use the plasma gun in front of you to kill the imps and shotgun guys around the pool, then go into the building west of the pool and continue west past a concrete block to enter a corridor with one or two demons. Walk through the doorway on the south side of the corridor and go east to find the yellow keycard, kill the demons (and spectres on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher) that teleport in, then go back to the pool and go north into the second building. Walk east and north to a room with one to three mancubi, then go east into another pool area and collect the red keycard from the yellow platform in the south-east corner. Taking the red key will cause imps, spectres and revenants to teleport to the pool.

Go back inside the building and head north through another doorway, open the yellow bars to your right then follow the path down to a hall with an arachnotron and zombies. Climb up to the ledge with the mancubus on the east side of the hall and flip the switch here to open the northern door, go through it to get back outside, then head west past some mancubi to a set of steps. Climb the steps and open the red bar at the top to claim the blue keycard behind it, then go back to the hall below and pass through the doorway at the south end, behind the columns. Go up the steps to the west to reach a ledge with two or three mancubi, then press the button at the west end of the ledge to open a metal wall below, revealing two arachnotrons behind it.

Go through the wall you just lowered and walk south to a staircase with a chaingunner on it, then go up the stairs to enter an area with two or three mancubi. Go into the southern part and walk down the steps here to find a blue button, press it then go back to the wall area to see that a tunnel leading to a train station has opened. Follow the tunnel and kill any enemies waiting in the station, then open the blue door at the north-west end and flip the switch behind it to lower the nearby set of metal bars. Pass through the bars to reach the train, enter it then go south through two carriages to reach the driver’s cab. Press either button inside the cab to end the level.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the south building, in the main hall, use the computer to the east and head west to a small corridor that has health bonuses and a megaarmor. (sector 346)
  2. At the north-east field, head all the way west and then south to a metal wall. Lower it to get a computer area map. (sector 348)
  3. After opening the big wall to the north-west of the starting area, go there and climb the steps. Head north-west and open the wooden wall to the east. Drop down to get a supercharge. (sector 352)
