MAP19: Asteroid Assault is the nineteenth map of Interception II. It was designed by DFF and uses the music track " ".

Secrets[edit]

  1. Enter the building and use the switch at the east side to lower the west wall. Go there, then up the steps to a wall with pipes. Use it, then use the terminal on the left with static to reveal a teleporter. On the other side, use the wall all the way to the south to get a soul sphere. (sector 138)
  2. In the room at the west end with gray walls, shoot the barrels at the west end to clear them away, then head to the northeast corner. Run west, then all the way south to get a green armor. (sector 234)
  3. In the library room which has the yellow key, open the northwest banner to find an invulnerability. (sector 400)
  4. In the northwest room with the lights on the floor, clear away the barrels in the middle, then enter the section from the steps at the left side. Run east out of the center and southeast to an open path before it closes. The area you come to has armor bonuses and a box of rockets. (sector 526)
  5. In the cargo area at the east end of the map, press the switch near the yellow bars, then return to the conveyor and get to the north end. Enter the northern room and go to the north path which is now open. Follow it to a teleporter that takes you back to the starting area, on top of a rock which has a computer area map. (sector 539)
  6. Get to the end of the large tunnel with the tank, then open the small door. In this hall, press on the left terminal to reveal a teleporter. Take it and use the wall in front of you to be back at the tunnel. Go through the next corridor you find and follow the health bonuses. At the end, use the bright wall to get to another end of the big tunnel. Cross over again to the north corridor to get armor bonuses and a box of rockets. The wall at the end leads to a stimpack.   7. In the room at the west end with gray walls, find a switch at the south end or a switch at the north end to lower a part of the west wall a bit. Get both the red and yellow keys as well. Go back to the cargo area at the east end of the map, use the yellow key at the yellow bars, then take the teleporter and use the red key on the red bars. Follow the path to be west of the room with gray walls. Jump northeast onto the wall and go towards the plasma gun, stimpacks, and energy cells. (sector 1138)

Bugs[edit]

Two shotgun guys (Things 750 and 1092) in the south-east monster caches have no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so they do not actually appear in the level. They are at the same spots as heavy weapon dudes on skill 4-5, so probably were intended to appear on lower skills.
