MAP21: Deep Sixed is the twenty-first map of Project Einherjar, serving as the finale of Episode 3, The Iron Invasion. It was designed by Mike MacDee (Impie) and uses the music track "".

Essentials[edit]

The smallest map of episode 3 has slim pickings for ammo and health. Juno begins the map in a flooding chamber with the water rising to the ceiling. Eventually the nearby switch bursts open due to a malfunction, giving Juno only a few moments to activate it and open the door: if she fails to escape the room, she is crushed to death.

Once she enters the hallway, she must run to safety as it rapidly fills with water. It leads to an engine room filled with Overwatch troopers and a Thane taking potshots from the catwalk above. Kill the Thane and the engine ruptures, creating a staircase of oil leading up to the catwalk. The switch opens the engine room doors.

Fight your way through the sinking ship, past several potential exits that are automatically sealed off as the sectors beyond are flooded and destroyed. Eventually you will come to a flowing hallway with the locked exit door. Follow the hall into the next area, which seals a red door behind you upon entry, trapping you inside. Descend the staircases into the exploding chamber and kill any survivors you come across before approaching the door to the captain's quarters (across from the rack of pistols and armor).

Boss: Thea Skuld[edit]

When Juno approaches the armor, the door bursts open and Skuld comes gunning for her. Due to Skuld's devastating choice of armament, the fight quickly becomes a game of cat-and-mouse in the cramped, flooded corridors of the ship. She can be difficult to hit because of the poor visibility in certain areas, and her missiles are too fast to outrun, and often kill in one or two hits. Use the Gungnir or ballistic knife. When she dies, she drops the red key: grab it and race to the exit switch.
