MAP22: The Seeker is the twenty-second level of Eternal Doom. It was designed by Chris Couleur and uses the music track "Death in D Minor".

Walkthrough[edit]

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Quick tips[edit]

  • The blue key area counts technically as a secret, but is opened by a plainly-visible, easy to find switch.
  • You must walk towards the two yellow doors (one on the left, one on the right) before you have the yellow key in order to open up a wall.
  • When you reach the outdoor area that is surrounded by an indoor fireplace section and (on UV) has a Hell knight on each balcony near the entrance, look for a crack in the wall to shoot.
  • In the large outdoor courtyard (visible behind you at the start of the map) with a red key door at the far end, one of the brown elevated 'islands' has a switch on it to lower that portion of the outer island wall. After hitting the switch to lower the wall, shoot a crack which becomes visible, then proceed to the interior of the island and press on the middle pedestal to reveal the red key.

Secrets[edit]

  1. The way to the blue key counts as a secret and is impossible to miss. (sector 22)
  2. Open the blue door and head under the nearest underpass. Press on the wall to your left to find a chaingunner guarding a soul sphere. (sector 243)
  3. After walking towards the two yellow doors, the wall nearby to the northwest opens up. Take this path to the next door and open it, and in the next hall, before the next door, shoot at the wall to the south. This path eventually winds to a megasphere. (sector 47)
  4. In the large outdoor courtyard at the southwest part of the map, climb up the large rocky ledge on the west side. Head to the south side and shoot the cracked wall to find Hell knights guarding an energy cell pack, a box of rockets, and a megaarmor. (sector 320)
  5. On the balcony overlooking the southeast courtyard, find a door in the southeast, which takes you to the grotto you were at before, but on the other side of the waterfall. You can find a medikit, some ammo, and a computer area map here. (sector 367)
