This level occupies the map slot MAP22. For other maps which occupy this slot, see Category:MAP22.

MAP22: Wake Up is the twenty-second map of Blitz: Race Against Time. It was designed by Niko Kozlowitz (Astar18), who also composed the music track "Loophole". The par time defined in ZMAPINFO is 27 seconds.

The level takes place within a dream, where the player experiences a series of strange and disconnected locations.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Grab the berserk and proceed through the corridor leading to the northeastern part of the level. Upon reaching the super shotgun, you will be presented with two possible paths.

Path 1:

If you head to the northwestern area, you will arrive in an outdoor section populated by a double chaingunner, a cyberdemon jr., two barons of Hell, and a rocket launcher. Turn right, following the arrow signs and a box of bullets, stepping forward will cause several platforms to lower. Continue into the eastern part of the map through a series of blood-filled rooms until you reach a wall marked with an exit sign and more arrows. Follow them, and you will enter a set of different rooms via a silent teleporter. On Ultra-Violence and above, the final room contains a dark cardinal.

After passing through three corridors, you will reach the exit area, which contains a BFG9000 and several ammo pickups, useful for clearing out any remaining enemies once the 30-second timer begins.

Path 2:

If you continue into the northeastern part of the level, you will enter a densely populated monster room. Move straight through the corridor, if a platform rises in front of you, lower it and keep going.

Eventually, turn right when you see the exit sign and arrow indicators.

Other points of interest[edit]

If you go to the southeastern part of the level after the super shotgun section, you will find yourself in an endlessly long room. The trick is that you can escape the room simply by not moving forward.
