MAP23: Bloodlust is the twenty-third map of Plutonia 1024: The Plutinya Experiment. It was designed by James Cresswell (Phobus), and the par time defined in MAPINFO is 3:00.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Walk forward to get a shotgun, super shotgun and megaarmor, then look left to see a rocket launcher guarded by an imp. Head north through a narrow opening in the wall and kill a revenant waiting to your right, then continue north to a door and open it to confront another revenant and one or two Hell knights. Head east through a damaging blood pool to a skull switch protected by two chaingunners and press it, which will release an arch-vile behind you, then head back to the west side of the map to dispose of two revenants that have teleported in along with some chaingunners in a structure visible through the west windows. Go back to where you found the rocket launcher and walk along the wooden block that has lowered here to get a megasphere, kill a revenant that appears on a teleporter just ahead then run forward to land on this teleporter.

You will be sent to another damaging blood pool. Turn left and head forward to a door, pushing past any spectres and chaingunners that teleport in to block your path, then open the door to get to a rocky walkway with more imps and a revenant. Head north until you reach a pillar with the yellow skull key on it and press the nearby skull switch to lower the key, then head south towards the door you just opened while dodging the cacodemons (and pain elementals on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare skill levels) that have appeared through the east windows. Go back into the blood pool and open the yellow key door in the south-east corner to find a revenant and chaingunner guarding another skull switch, press it then head north until you see a wooden ledge on your left - some yellow bars here have lowered, letting you reach the exit teleporter guarded by a revenant (or arch-vile on Hurt Me Plenty or higher).
