Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Take the shotgun and other supplies in the starting room, then open the north door to find some zombiemen and a demon guarding a junction. Take the west path and head past some shotgun guys and lost souls to a door at the bottom of a staircase, open it then head round the next corner to a large hall containing various enemies including a revenant. Go through the north-west doorway to find a teleporter and enter it, then take the super shotgun in front of you before opening a door leading to a square chamber with demons, imps and mancubi guarding a pillar holding the red skull key. Go up the steps in the north-west corner (which will seal the entrance to the chamber) and press a demon switch at the top to lower the key pillar; arm yourself before taking the key as this will open three closets containing revenants, Hell knights, imps and chaingunners; more of the same monsters will also teleport in.
Once the chamber is clear, press the face switch in the south-east closet to re-open the entrance door, then use the teleporter behind it to return to the large hall. Go back to the junction near the starting point and head up the north-east staircase this time, open the red key door at the top and take a rocket launcher waiting behind it. Follow the path east and north to a skull switch, kill a baron of Hell that teleports in to defend it then press the switch to lower a pillar in the large hall which holds the blue skull key. Kill a chaingunner that is released behind you (and one or two knights on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher), then go back down to the hall to collect the blue key - taking it will open closets around you containing cacodemons, revenants and a baron (plus a pain elemental on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM)).
Go up the north-east steps and open a blue key door at the top, where you will find a plasma gun and megaarmor being guarded by cacodemons, zombiemen and a chaingunner. Take the items then walk towards the exit at the north end of the room - when you are halfway across the room, the exit will be sealed and two closets containing packs of monsters will open to your left and right, including two arch-viles on UV and NM. Press the pentagram button inside the east closet to re-open the exit, then step on the patch of sky at the north end of the room to finish the level.
Other points of interest[edit]
Secrets[edit]
- Open the pentagram wall south-east of the red key door to find a super shotgun, shotgun shells and stimpacks. (sector 95)
- Take the west path at the junction near the start, then approach the door at the bottom of the steps. Press the east wall near the gibbed corpse to find a switch, then open the door. Press the switch, then run north, then east to the blue key room, where a pillar with a megaarmor has lowered. Make sure to pick it up before it rises. (sector 19)
- Go through the door on the west side, then open the yellow wall on your right behind a candle to find fifteen armor bonuses, fifteen health bonuses and an armor. (sector 135)
Bugs[edit]
This level includes two starts for player three, but no starts for player four. Consequently, only three players can play this level cooperatively, and when three players are present the extra start will become a voodoo doll.
