Essentials[edit]

The keys in this level can be collected in any order. All three are needed to open the exit.

Take the chaingun in front of you then go straight forward to a door and open it to reach a junction, which is guarded by two zombiemen and a demon (or pain elemental on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher). Go south through some columns and health bonuses to a ledge overlooking a lawn with one or two arachnotrons, flip the switch here then climb back up to the ledge and go east up a set of metal steps to enter a room with two chaingunners. Continue east from here to enter a round room with the red keycard, which is guarded by two mancubi and several demons.

Return to the lawn area and take the north-west corridor to enter a hall with a rocket launcher—taking it will lower the block behind you to reveal demons, along with an arch-vile on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM)—then go west and north to an N-shaped junction. Go south from here to a square room with imps and zombiemen, then use the lift at the south end of the room to go up to a switch that will open the brown columns behind you. Shoot either of the lion switches inside these columns to open a door on the west side of the room, along with a monster closet to the east containing zombies, then go through the door to find the blue keycard.

Return to the N-shaped junction and go north up some steps to a blue room with one or two mancubi, then continue north to a bridge over nukage and cross it to enter a room with three locked doors (an arch-vile will be waiting here on UV and NM). Press the button between the eastern windows to lower a pillar in the yard below holding the yellow keycard, then go back to the blue room and enter the tunnel at the south-east end to get outside. Take the yellow keys to open a closet with demons (or other enemies on HMP or higher), then go back to the locked doors and open all three of them to find a teleporter to the east side of the map.

Go down the stairs to an area with three wooden blocks, then press the gargoyle switch in the middle to lower the northern block and reveal demons and/or Hell knights. Flip a second switch inside the block to lower the southern block and reveal more demons and knights (or revenants on UV and NM) along with a third switch, then flip that third switch to lower the eastern block and reveal two cacodemons guarding a large teleporter. Enter the teleporter to go back to the junction south of the starting point, then go back to the start to find that the door behind it has opened, revealing a knight and/or two barons of Hell guarding the exit button.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the yellow key courtyard, run and jump through the east window to the other courtyard to get a computer area map to the south. (sector 12)
  2. At the bridge over nukage, head to the south-east pillar and press the switch here to lower a backpack to the west. (sector 176)
  3. At the east side, go to the steps to the north, but instead of taking them, go to the three columns to the right. At the northernmost column, use the switch behind it to lower the south-east wall. You can head outside to get a megaarmor. (sector 287)
  4. At the blue key, shoot the button to the south to open a teleporter underneath it. The teleporter goes to the supercharge in the enclosure south of the starting point. (sector 293)
