MAP25: City of Sin is the twenty-fifth map of Hell Revealations. It was designed by Andrik Powell (Arsinikk), NinjaDelphox, finnks13, Cacodemon187, galileo31dos01, Monsieur E, tonytheparrot, Christophine Place, Large Cat, SuperPecanMan and Colton Murchison (Arrowhead), and uses the music track "Watch as the Angels Fall from the Heavens into the City of Sin" by Arsinikk. The par time is 15:00.

Description[edit]

According to the Hell Revealations infopack:

Think of this map as a community project inside another community project. Just like Hell Revealations itself, Arsinikk took point as leader and pitched the overall map concept. NinjaDelphox designed the general layout and visual design of the city buildings, while 8 other mappers were given key items to house in their assigned buildings. All to cap off the experience with a ballbusting final fight designed by the leader himself. A special thanks to Arrowhead for designing the Deathmatch arena! Official[edit]

  1. On the bridge connecting the blue key building to the building to the north, jump northwest onto a wall and follow it north to a candle. Go through the wall there and press the switch to access a teleporter. This leads to an invulnerability. (sector 111)
  2. North of the southwest building is a soul sphere, which releases demons in two closets. Enter the left one and on the right wall, use the eye on the face that is not lit. Enter the southwest building and go to the north end to find health bonuses and a megaarmor. (sector 172)
  3. In the northeast building, climb the northeast chair and shoot the face to the west, then enter the fireplace and use the switch inside. Quickly head to the southeast switch and use it, then ride the crate, face west, and shoot the face as the crate rises. This opens the south door. Enter the water, head west, and lower the wall. Climb the steps, cross the bridge, open the door, then turn around and head on the south path going east. Open the wall there to find a puzzle. The solution to the puzzle is actually in the previous room on the north wall, which shows eight of nine tile combinations. Press those eight switches, and in order to solve the puzzle, you must solve one more. The missing tile is actually in the southwest building, near the south end in the blood. Press the switch that corresponds to that tile, then press the "SOLVE" switch to lower the stimpack as well as the actual secret, which is the berserk pack to the west. (sector 230)
  4. In the blue key building, at the north lift, while the lift lowers or rises, face west and shoot an eye switch. This reveals a switch east of the lift. Flip it to lower the nearby wall to the north. Take it up and head east to get a megasphere. (sector 797)
  5. Head to the northwest building and climb the crates at the west side. Head north from the entrance and use the crate at the corner to continue east. Lower the last crate to get a megaarmor. (sector 831)

Non-official[edit]

  • It's possible to trigger the final fight with only two keys. After pressing two of the key switches in the center fountain area, go to the south area and glide through the bars. Gliding through the bars will open the remaining bars and allow you to trigger the final fight sequence.
  • The eye switch for secret 4 can be triggered without using the lift and using the super shotgun spread.
