MAP25: Metamorphism is the twenty-fifth map of 1000 Lines 2 - Community Project. It was designed by elend and uses the music track "Heliophobe" by Brayden Hart (AD_79).

Follow either passage in front of you to find a pentagram button on the north side of the room and press it; this will open the center wall and reveal an imp and shotgun guy guarding a second button, which will lower another wall in the north-east corner when pressed. Step past this wall to get to a hexagonal room with a chaingun and shotgun shells (approaching then will lower a closet to the east with imps and a shotgun guy), then press a pentagram button on the north wall to lower a lift that will take you to the floor below. Head west and south past a Hell knight and some more imps to find the yellow skull key at the end of the passage, but arm yourself before picking it up as several closets will lower holding imps and shotgun guys (plus two revenants on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher).

Head back round to the north side of the passage to find another pentagram button near a candle, which will lower the lift again and let you return to the chaingun room. Go back to the starting area and kill some imps and revenants that have been released, then open the yellow key door in the east wall and head down the large steps in the next room, passing some shotgun guys, to reach a blood pool with another pentagram button in it. Press the button to lower the north-east wall and reveal more shotgun guys, then step past this wall and proceed east through a crucifix door to enter a room with shotgun guys and two or three revenants. Press another pentagram switch at the top of the steps, then head back to the starting room (passing an arch-vile on HMP or higher) to find that a large door in the south-west corner has now opened.

Go through the south-west door and head through a couple of narrow doorways to reach a wall with a sacrificed corpse on it, then turn left or right and go round the next corner to step on a lift that lowers in front of you. The lift will take you up to a chamber where you can find the red skull key sitting in a recess in the west wall; there is also a rocket launcher sitting in a blood pool, but entering the blood will open several closets around you holding various monsters. With the red key, go back to the crucifix door near the center of the level then walk south to a larger door which requires the red key; open this door then head north-east past a cacodemon to a room with a bridge running through it. Walk off the south side of the bridge and enter the blood-filled neighboring chamber, then press the skull switch on the east wall to lower a barrier in the previous room.

Go back to the bridge and press any part of it to lower it, then head east through the barrier you just opened to enter a hall with orange steps (the entrance will close behind you). Go up the steps to find an orange switch panel and press it, which will open the surrounding walls to reveal imps, knights, revenants and two or three mancubi, then enter the north closet to find a white crucifix button that will re-open the entrance so you can escape. Head back across the bridge and walk south through a door that has now opened to get outside, where you will find a pack of imps, revenants and cacodemons waiting for you (plus a caged arch-vile on HMP or higher). Press the crucifix buttons under the red pentagram blocks in the south-east and south-west corners to lower a wooden barrier, then walk through the wooden archway on the south side to finish the level.

Other points of interest[edit]

From the red key door, head south-west to find an armor and a skull button that will lower the super shotgun on top of the pillar in the neighboring room.

After opening the monster closets in the eastern-most hall, enter the south closet and press the white trident switch here to lower a backpack and megaarmor.
