MAP26: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood? is the twenty-sixth map of 1994 Tune-up Community Project. It was designed by Ioan Chera (printz) and uses a MIDI rendition of "Eye of the Beholder" by Metallica as its music track.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Enter the main building and on its west part, press the west wall with green panels next to the door to find a partial invisibility. (sector 66)
  2. Once you get the red key by going through the slime tunnels at the north part of the map, take the lift back to the starting area and head back to the entrance of the slime tunnels using the door at the easternmost part of the map. Take the steps down to the slime, and there should be a northwest opening with two boxes of rockets inside. (sector 355)
  3. At the southeasternmost part of the map, with the switch and the blue door, press the switch and head out. Follow the brown brick building all the way until you see a wall with rectangular panels. Press this wall and enter the small room. You will notice that the wall to the south has opened up. Inside is a backpack, a soul sphere, and a switch. (sector 404)
  4. After pressing the switch in secret #3, go back to the slime where secret #2 is. There will be a new opening to the northeast, with health bonuses, a megaarmor, and another switch inside. (sector 407)
  5. When you press the switch in secret #4, you will teleport to the exit area. The west wall there will be lowered, revealing stimpacks, a medikit, and health and armor bonuses. (sector 408)

Bugs[edit]

A few objects have invisible trigger lines without the pass use flag placed in front of them that block use attempts unless the player gets closer than would be normally necessary.

  • The door in the long hallway inside the house (linedef 1062)
  • The switch in the west closet (584)

The teleporter (sector 348) leading to the yellow key area has a misaligned flat.
