MAP26: Luxor is the twenty-sixth map of Epic 2. It was designed by Alexander S. (Eternal) and uses the music track "Vampire Hunters" from Bram Stoker's Dracula. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 5:00.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Reach the top of the temple and there should be a skull switch directly in the middle. Use it, and the middle pillar at the center of the temple that had the arch-vile on it will lower. You will have to make a quick and accurate strafejump from the top of this temple to this pillar before it rises. If you do it correctly, you will get the BFG9000, but look out for cyberdemons and arch-viles once you leave. (sector 6)
  2. In the circular room where the yellow key is, there are two side rooms at the north side. Enter the left one and press on the wall with the scarab on it to reveal a berserk pack, an energy cell pack, and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 264)
  3. Open the red door and take the steps all the way down. A bridge leads to a plate you should step on to reach the next area. There are switches on the sides of the bridge, which will lower a lift at the base of the bridge. Use either of them and get on the lift, then if you look north towards the bridge there will be a switch. Flipping this switch lowers a soul sphere to the right side. (sector 272)

Bugs[edit]

Two medikits (Things 726 and 749) in the south have no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so they do not actually appear in the level.
