Essentials[edit]

Take the megaarmor and walk through the room ahead, watching out for any enemies hiding behind the wooden walls, then step on the lift at the west end to go down to a room with four to nine cyberdemons standing under a crusher. Press the skull switch on the steps leading up to the crusher to activate it, then ride the lift back up and run south through an opening to land on a teleporter that goes to the ledge above; landing on the teleporter also opens the south wall to reveal imps, zombiemen and chaingunners. Go into this room and press the blue button on the south wall, which will lower a lift on the west side of the room holding the blue skull key.

Go back up to the starting room, where imps, zombies and one or two revenants have been released, then open the blue door on the north side and kill some spectres waiting behind it. Press the blue button just behind the door to lower the nearby lift and reveal some imps, then ride the lift and run north to a staircase that goes down to a pack of imps guarding a red door. Press another blue button in the west wall to lower a second lift, then ride it down to a large room with a looping staircase. Multiple ambushes will occur as you climb the stairs - zombies are revealed after climbing the first three steps, one or two arch-viles will block your path on the west side, and various enemies will be released when you reach the landing on the north side. When you reach the top step, run north to land on the ledge with the red skull key, which will lower to reveal a pack of monsters along with a second group to the south.

After disposing of all the monsters, press the gargoyle switch on the north wall to activate the lift you used earlier, then ride it back up to the red door where yet more enemies have appeared. Go through the red door and deal with one or two Hell knights and mancubi waiting outside, then head north across a bridge into a dark passage and be ready to kill one or more revenants that appear on the steps ahead. At the bottom of the steps, kill a group of chaingunners waiting ahead then open the door ahead to enter the final area, which contains a marble building surrounded by a lava moat. Press the lion switch in the blood on the west side to open the building, then deal with any monsters that teleport out of it before using those same teleporters to get inside the building. Press the skull switch at the south end to raise a bridge behind you, then approach the door on the other side to find imps and spectres defending the exit hole.
