MAP28: Afterimage is the twenty-eighth map of Eviternity II. It was designed by Kevin Martins (Velvetic) and uses the music track "Blessed by the Void", composed by Velvetic and Joshua O'Sullivan (Dragonfly). The par time defined in MAPINFO is 3:45.

- At the main tower where the blue and yellow switches are, head into it and go to the northwest side, at the west of the small fixture. You will find a small switch. Flip it and go west of the tower to find a soul sphere. (sector 441)
- Climb the steps at the south end. After the second set, run and jump northwest to land on a rock with a megaarmor. (sector 1773)
- In the small castle leading to the northwest end, climb the east steps and go all the way east. Look north and shoot a skull switch, which lowers bars to the west. You can now get energy cell packs and a BFG9000. (sector 3949)
The doors separating the southeast portion from the rest of the level (door sectors 1734, 1732) have invisible trigger lines in front of them on the southeast side without the pass use flag enabled, making them block use attempts until the player gets closer to the doors than usually required, effectively cutting the player's use range in half.
