MAP28: The Halls of Reckoning is the twenty-eighth map of 1000 Lines 2 - Community Project. It was designed by Bridgeburner56 and uses the music track "Remnants of War" by Brayden Hart (AD_79).

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Take the megaarmor and boxes of rockets in front of you then turn round and collect a backpack before dropping into a hall with imps and mancubi on one side, and a pack of revenants on the other. Ignore the enemies for now and run straight forward to collect a rocket launcher; two closets will open ahead containing a number of barons of Hell and two cyberdemons, and you should get everyone to infight as much as possible. Go down the candle-lined staircase and follow the hallway until you reach a super shotgun; taking it will open a chamber on your left with demons, imps, pain elementals and an arch-vile, as well as allowing nine Hell knights to teleport in behind you.

Enter the chamber to find a pentagram button and press it - a cyberdemon will be released from an alcove to the east, and a room full of revenants, mancubi and cacodemons will open behind you. Inside the room is a star switch between two green firesticks, which you can press to lower a lift to the east that has another cyberdemon on it; four arch-viles will also be released when the lift lowers. Get on the lift and collect a supercharge, then ride it up to the blue skull key before dropping back into the starting hall. Open the large marble door on the north side of the hall and go through it to get the red skull key, then head south up another set of steps and press a crucifix button at the top to open the doors on either side of it.

Go through the doors (they will close behind you) to a large Y-shaped bridge and collect a megasphere in the center, then press the pentagram button in front of you - this will open two closets ahead containing cacodemons, as well as two more closets behind you with knights and revenants. Enter both of the north closets to find two more pentagram buttons; pressing both of these will allow you to enter the structure on the south side of the bridge, but be wary as you will have to face two more cyberdemons and two arch-viles (or six arch-viles on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher) that teleport in. Press the star switch inside the building to lower a lift, ride it up then run south across some platforms to a skull button that you can press to finish the level.

Other points of interest[edit]

The western-most room contains a BFG9000, but you will have to survive a gauntlet of revenants, knights, mancubi, arch-viles and a cyberdemon to escape with it.
