Essentials[edit]

Deal with the zombiemen around you then go north-west to a gray building and drop into the pit underneath it. Enter the western room to face a couple of shotgun guys, then drop down the hole here to find an arachnotron and some demons. guarding a super shotgun and a button. Press the button to open a teleporter in the south-west corner of the library, then go down the steps to lower the two southern bookcases and reveal Hell knights (or revenants on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher). Collect the rocket launcher in front of the teleporter you just opened and enter it to return to the top level of the pit, then go north-east to a lift that has opened and use it to climb out. Step north to drop into a trench with some demons (and a mancubus on HMP or higher), then go west to a door and open it to find some green steps that lead down to the red keycard. Taking the key will cause revenants and knights, along with two arch-viles on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM), to teleport to the trench.

Climb up the stairs at the east end of the trench to get back up to ground level, then go west to a teleporter which will put you inside the neighboring building, which contains multi-colored ledges; there are four switches on the west wall that must all be flipped to reveal the way out. Run along the blue path to reach the first switch and flip it to lower a wall to your left, revealing shotgun guys and a teleporter leading to the next switch. Repeat this process for the remaining three switches, then enter the north-eastern teleporter to go to the opposite end of the map and face some imps and shotgun guys. Go up the steps to enter a room with cacodemons and knights, then press the button at the south-east end to lower a lift behind you. Ride the lift up and follow the tunnel until you can drop down to the blue keycard. Taking the key will cause a number of imps and spectres to teleport behind you.

From the blue key, ride the lift up behind you then go north to drop into a blue pit, then walk north-west into a nukage pit which surrounds a green building. Go to the north-east corner of the nukage to find a radiation shielding suit, then go inside the building and climb up the stairs to reach a moving platform with a mancubus. Press the button at the bottom of the platform then leave the building to find that two walls have lowered, revealing a group of demons (and an arch-vile on UV and NM) guarding a teleporter. Enter the teleporter to go to a room with a sky floor, quickly kill the mancubi around you, then flip the switch at the south end to open another teleporter behind you. Use this teleporter to go to the cross-shaped platform near the middle of the map, then run east and south along a narrow ledge to reach the yellow keycard.

With all three keys, go to the building at the north end of the map and use the lift inside the circuit walls to get inside it. Go north to a pair of staircases which have a teleporter between them, then go up to the top of the stairs and press the button at the top to open the blue bars in the central room. Near the top of the stairs are two red corridors—enter the eastern corridor and follow it all the way north to a second button, which will open the red bars in the central room, then fight off the demons (and arch-vile on HMP or higher) that are released to your right before going back to the stairs. Enter the western red corridor and follow it until you drop into a room with a yellow floor, then climb the steps here and go north past a knight and baron of Hell to reach the final button, which will open the yellow bars in the central room. Go to the teleporter at the bottom of the staircase and use it to go to the central room, then press all three buttons to open the colored barriers at the top of the steps, allowing you to reach the exit hole behind them.

  1. At the south-west end, after dropping down to the library area with the arachnotron, open the north wall behind the super shotgun to get a computer area map. (sector 85)
  2. Jump off from above the blue key into the water (sector 10) and head all the way west to get a supercharge.
  3. In the main area, head north-west from the north structure and lower a beige wall to find a teleporter. This leads to the platform with chaingunners. (sector 219)
