MAP30: Hell on Earth is the thirtieth and final map of Doom 2 the Way id Did. It was designed by Gus Knezevich (Alfonzo). The par time defined in the DEHACKED lump is 2:45.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Take the chainsaw then enter the teleporter to go to the Icon of Sin's chamber - it will awaken and begin spawning monsters as soon as you step out from behind the rock wall. Drop into the damaging magma pit below the Icon and go to the opening in the north-east corner, then open the door here and follow the hallway to find an imp guarding the red skull key. Now go back to the magma pit and run to the west end to find a switch, flip it then run back to the red key room - as you step out of the magma, you will see that a teleporter has opened in the wall ahead which you can use to return to the upper level. Go round to the west end of the ledge to find a button next to a supercharge and plasma gun, press it then go to the east end of the ledge where a teleporter to the southern half of the map has lowered. Head straight forward over a nukage trench to find a rocket launcher, but press the skull switch next to it first as it will raise the height of the step.
When you approach the rocket launcher you will be teleported to it, facing north. You must now fire a rocket, then chase it back to the room entrance and enter the nukage pool here to teleport to a ledge opposite the Icon; as soon as you do, press the button to your left to open the pillar ahead, allowing the rocket to pass through it and hit the Icon's brain. This sequence must be done very quickly, so you can only fire one rocket at a time and will need to make several trips. The level automatically ends when the Icon dies.

Secrets[edit]
- In the southern half of the map, walk through the nukagefall to the west to find a box of shotgun shells, two boxes of rockets, two energy cells and a megasphere (or supercharge on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare skill levels). (sector 48) Go through the door and flip the switch to drain the nukage and allow access to the BFG9000 on the other side of the trench.
