Walkthrough[edit]

Map of Entryway Reloaded
Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

As its name suggests, this level is a copy of Doom II's MAP01: Entryway with additional design elements.

Kill the zombiemen in front of you, then enter the hallway ahead and follow it east and south to a larger room with two square lights. Open the exit door, which has an arch-vile behind it on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare skill levels, then press the button in front of you to go to MAP16: Research Facility.

Secret exit[edit]

Refer to secrets #1 and #2 below for information on reaching the secret exit to MAP32: The Super Secret Level. You must reach the secret exit within 30 seconds of starting the level, or it will permanently close.

Other points of interest[edit]

Like the original level, walk west at the start to find a chainsaw.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the room before the exit, flip the switch on the west side to activate the lift and ride it up, then run east to land on the square light below. Now go back to the room with health bonuses in the connecting hallway to find that the back wall has opened, revealing a rocket launcher and a box of rockets. (sector 54)
  2. If you reach secret #1 before 30 seconds has passed in the level, the back walls of the rocket launcher room will be open allowing you to reach the secret exit. (sector 173) Entering the secret exit room opens two additional doors allowing you to come back if you choose to. The button in this secret opens a passage that connects the starting area with secrets #5 and #6.
  3. In the northernmost room with the two switches, flip the western one to open the north-east compartment containing an armor. (sector 27)
  4. The switch that opens secret #3 also opens the north-west compartment containing one or more demons and a berserk pack. (sector 211)
  5. Ride the lift you used to open secret #1 up again, then open the west wall to reveal one or two imps and a switch. (sector 2)
  6. Flip the switch in secret #1 to reach the outside area to the south, containing a super shotgun and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 45)
