MAP31: Forbidden Zone (Paradise)

MAP31: Forbidden Zone is the first secret map of Paradise. It was designed by Tango and uses the music track "Sacred Cave" / "Forbidden Area" from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. The par time defined in ZMAPINFO is 4:30.

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. At the northwest hallway, use the switch, then head back south and enter the southwest corner in the dark room. Take the steps going south, then east. In this next room, head into the northwest alcove, which counts as a secret, and press the skull switch here to lower a pole with five rockets. (sector 2691)
  2. In the central room, get on the northwest ledge in the northeast quadrant where a skull switch is. Use it to lower the megaarmor. (sector 2695)
  3. At the northwest hallway, use the switch, then enter the first alcove on the left with a chaingunner and press the skull switch there to open the way west. Pick up the health bonuses and megasphere in this dark area. Once you can leave, you can collect a berserk pack from the opposite alcove in the hallway. (sector 2746)
  4. In the room at the right end, go towards three health bonuses on the north wall and spot a skull switch to the right. Use it to lower the north wall which contains rockets, boxes of shotgun shells, and medikits. (sector 3046)
