MAP31: MAP23 - Wolfenstein's Monster is the first secret map of Switcheroom 2. It was designed by Brendt Pantley (Megalyth) and uses the music track "Evil Incarcerated" by James Paddock (Jimmy). It is based on the layout of MAP23: Barrels o' Fun.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Step backwards to get a berserk pack and release some demons behind you, then go straight forward to a super shotgun and open the door behind it to face some Wolfenstein SS. Open another door at the bottom of the steps and head north to a chaingun, then flip the switch here and fight off more SS and demons that are released before returning to the step room, where the west wall has lowered to reveal another door. Go through this door and use the lift behind it to reach the upper level of the starting hall, then head north past more SS to reach another switch and flip it; this will raise two platforms in the starting hall, allowing you to step across them and reach the opposite ledge. Go to the south end to flip another switch, which will open the wall at the north end, then kill any demons that approach from that direction before going through the wall and dropping into a water pool.

Climb the steps on the west side of the pool and follow the tunnel to a group of imps, then fight your way through to a chamber where some SS guard a plasma gun. Flip the switch in the middle of the chamber to open three closets containing imps and demons, then flip the switch inside the southern closet to lower the red skull key and release more SS. Take the key to open the east wall and reveal a lift, ride it up and open the eagle wall at the top to return to the starting area, then drop into the water pool again and climb up the eastern steps to reach a large junction. Enter either of the brown tunnels and go round to another group of imps, then go through the doorway to see two doors ahead and open the northern (right-hand) door to find another switch. Flip it, then return to the junction to find that the south wall has lowered revealing a cyberdemon and two barons of Hell guarding the yellow skull key.

Use the yellow key to open the nearby door, then head straight forward past some SS and demons to a red door. Open this door, then follow the path through two more doors to reach the exit switch to MAP32: MAP07 - AARDWOLF.

  1. At the east end with two doors, open the southern (left-hand) door to find the rocket launcher and use the back wall in that room to get a supercharge. (sector 51)
