MAP31: Make Believe is the first secret map of Akeldama. It was designed by Michael Jan Krizik (valkiriforce), DerFurer'sFace, Joe Pallai and gaspe, and uses the music track "Survivor's Guilt" by LewkForce.

Walkthrough

Map of Make Believe

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. In the yellow key area, head to the northwest tower and leave it to the southeast, then return to the northeast tower and exit to the south. A new teleporter is here, which will take you to a soul sphere (megasphere on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower) as well as telefrag whatever monster is on this block. (sector 275)
2. In the lava castle accessible past the yellow barrier, head to the northeast corner and get out the window to find energy cells and partial invisibility. (sector 416)
3. From the previous secret, jump to the outside of the fence and hug it as you go left to a BFG9000. (sector 233)
4. In the red key area, use the teleporter to the southeast, then drop down and the walls will open. Use the one to the north with the skull on it, then follow the passage to a metal wall that lowers a soul sphere. (sector 637)
5. In the city area with the blue key, get on the northwest building and make a jump to the square on the right. A lift will lower ahead of you. Go towards it and take it up to reach boxes of rockets and a computer area map. (sector 524)
6. In the city area with the blue key, get on the northwest building and go around to a switch, which will lower the walls to the south. In this area, open the right wall to find an energy cell pack and a switch. (sector 526)
7. In the water area accessible past the blue barrier, get on the northern ledge and open the walls as you head through to the north. When you reach the switch, look to the dark cage to the left to find another switch. Flip it and quickly run out and jump to the steps to the west, then to the soul sphere before it rises. (sector 840)
8. In the final area with the exits, find the wooden room with the bookshelf and use the skull switch nearby to lower it, revealing an energy cell pack behind the bookshelf. (sector 109)
