MAP31 is the first secret map of Return to Purgatory. It was designed by James Wilson (Shade), who also composed its untitled music track.

Secrets[edit]

  1. When the first wall of barrels lowers, open the south wall to get an energy cell pack and a soul sphere. (sector 32)
  2. Open a door at the north end to reveal two walls with barrels to the left and right. Shoot the barrels to the left and open a wall there to get an energy cell pack, boxes of rockets, and a megasphere. (sector 72)
  3. In the left hall, quickly run all the way to the switch to the north before the wall closes. After doing this, go to the normal exit and head north to get the secret exit. (sector 146)
