MAP32: Megiddo II (mispelled as "Meggido II" or "Meddigo II" on the automap, depending on source port, as well as in the text file) is the second secret map of NOVA II. It was designed by Thomas Seifert (tourniquet), Pinchy, Brayden Hart (AD_79), NoisyVelvet, Dave the Daring and Jack Stewart (Jaxxoon R), and uses the music track "Written Paragraph (The End is Nigh)," by KevinHEZ.

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. Section done by Jaxxoon R: At the southwest end of this section, flip the switch to reveal a revenant and another switch. After flipping that one, go to the northern part of the section where an arachnotron was guarding a megaarmor, shotgun shells, and boxes of rockets. (sector 1850)
  2. Section done by Jaxxoon R: At the southwest end of this section, open the gray stone wall on the west side. One or two revenants will be back here along with a backpack. Walk through the wall behind them to get a green armor. (sector 1854)
  3. Section done by Jaxxoon R: At the southwest end of this section, flip the switch to reveal a revenant and another switch. After flipping that one, head north from the switches to the teleporter, but do not enter yet. Approaching the teleporter reveals two lifts to the sides. One lift takes you to a passage of health bonuses, and the other takes you to a passage of armor bonuses. Both lifts count as one secret. (sector 1859)
  4. Section done by Jaxxoon R: In the middle of this section, drop in and use the stairs to go up. The arrow you see points eastward, jump in that direction to open up the wall ahead. Open the wall past the monsters to find a lone health bonus. (sector 1861)
  5. Section done by AD_79: On the platform with the switch that lowers the yellow key, jump off and head south and west through the hall of torches. Stop midway and quickly enter the teleporter to the south before it closes, and you can get a megaarmor and an energy cell pack. (sector 1937)
  6. Section done by Dave the Daring: In the arena, head onto the center platform using the corners of the platform (or you can use an arch-vile jump, but it is possible to get this secret without doing that). You will teleport to a room with an invulnerability. (sector 2669)
  7. Section done by Dave the Daring: At the northwest part of this section, hop across the platforms to the switch to the north, then go back and hop across the platforms rising to the eastern switch. On the middle platform, strafejump south to the wall with the banner. Open this wall to find a megasphere. (sector 2766)
  8. Section done by Dave the Daring: East of the arena, get on the platform where the chaingunners are and open the wall for a megaarmor. (sector 2803)
  9. Section done by Pinchy: In the arena with the baron of Hell on top of the block, press the southwestern switch, wait a bit, then press the southeastern switch. Quickly get on the lift to the northeast (which lowered from the southwestern switch), then ride up and quickly head northeast (this area lowered because of the southeastern switch). Take the teleporter to reach a walkway with energy cell packs, a megasphere, and rockets. (sector 3612)
  10. Section done by Pinchy: Past the large imp trap, go towards the bars that have the red skulls around them, then straferun to the rocks to the south. Head down the rocks to get a box of rockets surrounded by four rockets. (sector 3742)
  11. Section done by Pinchy: When you get past the red bars that have red skulls on them, the bars will close and you will be forced to head north into another room with the switch to remove the bars again. Use this switch, but instead of going back, take the steps nearby up. Head into the circle of stalagmites to lower a rock to the south, then drop down there to get some ammo and a stimpack.
