Miniwad (short for Minimalist IWAD) is a Doom II-compatible minimalist IWAD made by Simon Howard (Fraggle).
It uses the Pillow library to find average color calculations from Freedoom surfaces, as well as using the WadPtr tool to compress it further.
Legacy[edit]
In a video for a Chocolate Doom-based source port to the Game & Watch re-release, miniwad was used to overcome some of the performance issues due to the console's low hardware specifications.[1]
