MtPain27 is an American Doom content creator and mapper, best known for creating the series Dean of Doom, in which he provides map-by-map reviews of various WADs, mostly megawads. He has also provided reviews for The DWmegawad Club, and runs a second YouTube channel in which he creates music and short films.
MtPain27's WAD reviews received significant praise for writing and quality by viewers and Doom community members, most notably decino, who helped to popularize the channel.[1] The reviews are known to attract the attention of map creators, who often provide behind-the-scenes insights into the history and concept of reviewed maps in the Comments section. Examples are mappers Doomkid,[2] Brad Spencer,[3] Dragonfly,[4] skillsaw,[5] cyriak,[6] and Brayden Hart,[7] as well as musicians Jeremy Doyle,[8] and stewboy,[9] among others.
