My Soul Trapped in a WIN98 PC (ST98.WAD) is a January 2015 techbase map designed for Boom-compatible source ports by Lucas Hernandez (Lukasxd). Most of the level's textures are graphics from Windows 98 and 1990s Internet programs, and it uses the music track "Earthlight" from the game Einhänder.

Essentials[edit]

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Immediately drop south of the start to get ammo clips and a backpack. (sector 888)
  2. Drop south of Secret #1 to get a box of ammo and a green armor. (sector 1206)
  3. In the first big room of the PC, use the Windows logo to the north to get up. Jump southeast across the blocks to get the shotgun. (sector 889)
  4. Open the door to the west of the first big room, then back up and run across to the westernmost alcove (you have only one shot to get to this alcove). Using the back wall here will open a teleporter across the first gap. This takes you back to the starting room, where you can drop to Secret #2 and enter the new room to get a chainsaw. (sector 1211)
  5. Teleport to the rocky area with the blue floor and red ceiling. When you leave your teleporter, a Hell knight (imp on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower) is on a platform with a medikit. Ride this up and open the west wall to get shotgun shells and a super shotgun. (sector 490)
  6. Getting the super shotgun in Secret #5 teleports you to an area with shotgun shells, a medikit, and stimpacks. (sector 582)
  7. Take the lift in Secret #6 up and take the teleporter with the red around it to get a megaarmor and backpacks. (sector 893)
  8. Head back to the rocky area and head to the bend in the hall. Lower the inner wall to get a megaarmor. (sector 583)
  9. In the second big room that led to the ending room, if you entered from the northeast, the southeast teleporter will lower. Take it, and maneuver your way through this new area to the top. Jump towards the east to get an energy cell pack, then jump down to get energy cells. (sector 868)
  10. When you open the door to the BFG9000, approach it slowly and go through the south wall to get a soul sphere. (sector 1193)
  11. Go through the south wall in Secret #10 to find a path to get the BFG9000 without teleporting. (sector 1194)
  12. When you teleport from the BFG9000 room, climb the structure and jump to the megaarmor. The actual secret sector is impossible to register. (sector 1095)
