No Time 2 Freeze is a 32-map megawad for Doom II designed for MBF21-compatible source ports, created by various members of the Russian Doom Community, led by Track Federal and Andrey Skochko (DRON12261). The first version was released on January 9, 2026. The main feature of the megawad is a snowy/icy setting accompanied by a variety of mostly non-MIDI soundtracks.
Content[edit]
This project is based on the Minicharge+ resource pack by Tango, which is a fork of Minicharge.
General overview[edit]
- New weapon and monster sprites, new sounds, new HUD, and other various things.
- Monster dismemberment system.
- Snowfall system, present on almost every level.
Custom monsters[edit]
- Lost soul
- Health reduced to 60 hit points.
- Plasma zombie
- A former human that has 40 hit points and a weak plasma rifle. It fires two consecutive plasma projectiles. Replaces the zombieman.
- Diabolist
- Fiery-red cousin of the arch-vile with 800 hit points and a zero percent pain chance. It summons exploding plumes of fire beneath the player’s feet that linger for about 1.8 seconds and then explode three times in a row for area-denial, with each explosion dealing 28 blast damage within a radius of 28 map units.
- Diabolist curse statue
- An immortal object that will always spawn the diabolist's fire in its field of vision.
- Tortured soul
- Fires a weak projectile. Upon pain state and its own demise, it spreads a toxic gas that passes through objects.
- Dark cardinal
- Floating brethren of the cyberdemon that has 2200 hit points. Fires arachnotron shots at a pretty fast pace as long as its target is in sight. Has an exceptionally low pain chance, but is now vulnerable to explosion damage.
- Cyberdemon (weak)
- A weak variant of the cyberdemon that has 1500 hit points.
