Prodoomer is a Doom II megawad PK3, created by Leandro Andres Poblete Velasquez (PsychoSilverTH). It consists of 34 new levels (32 regular and 2 secrets), accessible via a hub area where the player may also buy new equipment, upgrade abilities and weapons, and recruit new allies. As a partial conversion, Prodoomer features an entirely overhauled arsenal and many new foes, and features a heavy influence from certain Sega franchises such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Phantasy Star.
Development for Prodoomer started in 2012, and a development thread announcing the project was first posted on the ZDoom forums on June 9, 2013. The first version of Prodoomer was initially released on October 10, 2014. This would be followed by two subsequent revisions: V2, released on February 12, 2015, and finally V3, released on January 25, 2017, with a 3.1 patch following on March 2.
Prodoomer received a mixed reception, with praise towards its ambitious scope, multiple gameplay elements and replayability, but with criticism focused towards its unbalanced gameplay and undue influences from games like Sonic 2006.
