RJSpace31 (also known as Rocket Space Jumping) is a single-level PWAD for Doom II, meant for rocket jumping gameplay. It was designed by Josh Simpson (EarthQuake) and uses the music track "Engineering" by Josh Randall, from System Shock 2.

RJSpace31 is a follow up to EarthQuake's previous map, RJSpace9, which had originally been left unfinished before being finalized by TimeOfDeath. The new version is mostly a remake of the original, featuring a similar layout but with a more open ended design and several new platforming challenges. Alongside the original map, it is widely considered to be one of the finest rocket jumping maps ever created.

In 2024, RJSpace31, as part of the Rocket Space Jumping series, was included in the Missed Cacowards 2.

DeHackEd changes[edit]

RJSpace31 utilizes a DeHackEd patch to modify some of the game behavior. In particular, the fist, pistol and shotgun are replaced by rocket launchers, the chaingun is given infinite ammo, the plasma gun projectiles are given blast damage so that they may also be used for rocket jumping, and the BFG9000 projectile utilizes the properties of the arch-vile fire attack to perpetually thrust the player upwards. Additionally, ammo pickups as well as the armor bonuses are replaced by dummy items utilized for the map's scoring system.
