Rocket Jump (most commonly known as RJumpq or RJumpn after its filenames) is PWAD for Doom II, consisting of a set of rocket jumping-oriented maps meant to be played on the ZDaemon and Skulltag source ports. These maps rely on explosions possessing vertical thrust in ZDoom and other source ports derived from it, as well as the ability to look up and down as in Heretic.
This PWAD was the first rocket jumping set to achieve mainstream success, as prior to its release most rocket jumping was confined to specific sections of already existing maps. Two versions exist: RJumpn was the first one, dated to 2005, and includes a plethora of megaspheres and invulnerability spheres in the maps to negate the damage incurred from the rockets' area of effect damage. The next version, RJumpq, made the player invulnerable to their own rockets, and removed the – by this point superfluous – powerups from the maps. The latter version was created by Doom2pro, with the original authors' approval.
