Reelism 2 is a mod for GZDoom by Kinsie, Phil Salvador (Shadsy), and Techokami. A sequel to 2011's Reelism, it replaces the gameplay of Doom with a wave-based horde mode. The mod was given an early access release (officially called 'early excess') in 2020, and it was finished in April 2022. Currently, the mod is only available in singleplayer, although multiplayer compatibility has been planned for the future.

Gameplay[edit]
Reelism 2 features gameplay very similar to its predecessor, where the player will have to survive through various waves, 60 seconds in length. At the start of each wave, the player will be given a random status effect, and new weapons and enemy types that will appear throughout the map. The objective of the game is to kill as many enemies as possible to acquire a high score before the final wave, in which a single boss enemy will appear, who has to be killed to complete the game. The weapons and enemies available in Reelism 2 include original designs, as well as ones taken from the original Doom, and other games, such as Quake, Duke Nukem 3D and Marathon.
Unlike the first Reelism, after finishing a level (whether they survived or not), the player will get to keep their points, which can be used as currency in the game's hub world to purchase new levels and items.
