Resurrection is the twentieth level of Doom: The Dark Ages. After escaping from Hell, the Doom Slayer is brought back to the mortal world through a rite observed by Commander Valen and his son Marok. The Slayer must then break the siege of the Castle of Elderax before pursuing the treacherous Bishop Kreed.

The Maykr drone is introduced as an enemy in this level. Bishop Kreed is fought as a boss.

Lore

The walls of the Castle of Elderax are forged from Aetherstone, and have weathered countless sieges over centuries, including the feral onslaughts of the Ironclad Tribes and the aerial bombardments of the Xyvoran Conclave.

• The sarcophagus that the Slayer rises from at the start of the level has a similar, if not identical, appearance to the sarcophagus he was sealed in prior to the events of Doom (2016).
