Richard Gray (alias Levelord) is a video game developer and level designer, best known for his numerous contributions to the FPS genre, including titles such as Duke Nukem 3D, Scourge of Armagon (the first mission pack for Quake), SiN, and several others. He started his career as a video game developer in the immediate aftermath of the release of the Doom Editing Utilities, through which he created several levels for Doom, which he released in mid 1994. These levels were originally uploaded to CompuServe and were well received, catching the attention of Nick Newhard of Q Studios (later Monolith Productions), which were at the time working on the video game Blood. Following this, Gray was hired to work on the game, and was subsequently hired by 3D Realms to work on Duke Nukem 3D, kickstarting Gray's long career as a video game developer.[1]
