Romero Death Skittles is a 2004 gameplay mod by Russell Pearson that emulates the sport of 30-frame bowling, with Romero's head used as bowling pins. The mod was covered by Doom content creator IcarusLIVES, which resulted in it gaining recognition from John Romero himself.[1]

Gameplay[edit]
Each frame of Romero Death Skittles gives the player three balls, which they can use in one of ten areas within the lane to destroy pins and acquire points. Alongside regular Romero Heads, the game also features hazards and power-ups, which can either give or deprive the player of health, as well as give extra bonuses, such as an explosive ball or the ability to swap out all pins of a certain type.
