Rush is a 12-map PWAD for Doom II, created by Arthur O. (Archi) with a final release in July 2014. It is a collection of slaughter maps that are considered relatively easy for the genre. One difficulty guide states that Rush is "the de facto recommendation for getting to grips with slaughter maps."[1]


Custom monster[edit]

Rush adds one custom monster, the Hectebus, a powerful mancubus variant taken from Skulltag. It replaces the dead lost soul.

Built-in demos[edit]

This WAD features three built-in demos, which do however not show actual gameplay. The first demo illustrates a few areas of a hidden, non-playable MAP34, while in the other two the player remains stationary at the starting point. All require Doom II with a Boom-compatible v2.02 source port to view them. The demo levels are:
